Thanks for the pics, I'll be taking a look before I drill today. I found that grommet behind the battery, and it is not easy to get to, at all. My hand barely fits through enough to feel it. and I can even stick my finger through it, but I cant get a cable through that. Hopefully I have the same grommet as you.
