The pics show with the panels off, are you able to put them back on without any modification to them?

Wonder when the naysayers will start posting that it does nothing?

If I ever have mod money again, I might try this. Is there still a way you could keep those rear belts?

I don't see how you could keep them in this situation, you'd have to shorten the bar. It looks adjustable but to what lentgh i'm wondering (the nut on the end of the bar at each end). I'll have to look at my belt when I get out of here. Depending on the width of the belt mount area it could just slip over it, but I highly doubt it.

Even if you could keep the belts, the bar is positioned forward of the rear seat backs. People be whacking their heads on it.

Looks pretty high though, you'd have to have someone about 6' 5" to hit IMO. I'd swipe the pads off my sons huffy and wrap em around it, lol

That upper bar works a bit, in hatchbacks, but you can't have anyone in the back seat so that kinda sucks.

The lower bar on top of the shocks is worth the money you can get for it at the recycling center. It does even less than the front strut bar, and just adds weight and cuts down on cargo space.

To Rockland,

You are implying that the bar made the car is "stiffer" and "ride better" all at the same time? Not that I think you are in any position to quantify handling gains.. but thanks for your opinion. I think if I gave you a battery tie down brace you would say the car handled better.

So just get this an a sway bar and you'll be set? (Thinking about getting one myself along with a sway bar. :P)

I would get a rear sway bar, and the front lower subframe brace. Braces in that area are actually effective. If you don't have a sway bar, definately get one before spending ANY money on braces.

Then enlighten us all as to how the bar made your car stiffer (which you have no way of quantifing) and ride better all at the same time.

I don't need to know your suspension setup to ask you a question about you own comments in post #1.

He simply made an observation, that's all. Even if his words were not the correct ones to describe the feeling, which I'm not saying they are wrong, he still noticed a difference in the way the car reacts. Do you need Loren to back you up on this to justify and say I'm wrong?

You mean those billet battery tie down braces don't improve handling

Actually this entire post was a good read. Rockland was actually right about something. Sucks it had to be at his expense tho.
