I got a true base model and mine is a 08. Got it about 4 months ago.

Maybe it's regional; I was told "no dice" here... Of course, I also waited until they had stopped MAKING the '08, sure I wanted an '09... Oh, well; maybe I'll get with the program and learn to use that MP3 player... What is it?????
