Moral of the story, why did he make the big spend on the 'image' vehicle, when all he would like is the hot little number I was driving??
This is one reason I bought the Yaris, I love the way people who spent 50+ on a car look at me and realize how the throw their $$ away. Of course some of them don't, but a majority of them do.

Most ask what I paid for it and what's the gas mileage like. I want to add heart decals to the sides to make it over the top to add to the hearts on my seat covers and steering wheel cover.

My old co-worker commented and said, "Yeah, it fits you April, it's definitely a 'Dot' car." Dot is the Animaniac that reminds her of me. The sedan is a very bubbly looking car. It's a better looking Echo (Clown Car). :)

I don't get random people asking me questions, then again I'm not all that approachable.

The only strange experience Ive had similar so far was on the way to work one morning. A guy on a harley (you know, loud chopper, big dude in tats and leathers with the bandana thing on his head) rolls up to me and gets me to roll down the window, all while driving. Asks me how I like it and the gas mileage etc, says he wants to get his 'old lady' one. I yelled back its a great car, he yelled back 'gets better gas mileage than this thing' (his bike) and takes off. Very strange.

all i can say is the ladies dig the Yaris. I was at a "club" tonight, and had more than half a dozen ladies walk up to me and ask "what is THAT?!"..i laughed back as always, and before i could explain myself i was salsa dancin' to some whack Tejano. Siempre chicas...

Ive heard that atleast 10 times from family and friends and chicks.

In fact, my aunt just saw my ride for the first time and said it was cute on Sunday. haha

I dont mind... the chicks seem impressed w/ it, so thats a bonus. Im not a massive powerintense sport car kinda guy.

i like the uniqueness and great gas mileage of my Yaris! I enjoy being different

Well I guess I am replying to my own thread. We had a company lunch and it took 3 cars to haul everyone do the place. So one of my passangers was the new girl, the reason we all went out to lunch. She asked me if this was the new Yaris. I told her yes, she actually did not call it cute, but was ver impressed with how roomie it looked once she was sitting in the back seat. One of my other passangers drives a BMW 323i. He did not say much, but I asked him about it later and he said he initially did not want to get into it because he thought he would be crampt, but was also impressed with how much room it had once he was in it. So, trying to impress, I took a little extra care with my clutching, making sure not to drop short, or plop it into a gear. The car handled great with 4 people in it, and did not feel overly sluggish. All though it was only about 5 blocks drive each way. :)

So far everybody who has seen the car has been quite impressed with it (as I stated before!) but yesterday I think I got my silent glory moment.
My neighbor is one of those HP guys who drives a Huge SUV, rebuilt an old truck to an HP beast and his daily driver is turbo PT Cruiser. Anyway, yesterday I was washing my car and he pulls up and start asking me how I like it, gas milleage, price and whatnot (the conversation started with the usual "Hey, is that one of the new Yaris?")and before driving off he confessed he liked it and that he could use it because of the milleage :D. Go Yaris Go!

Was driving the other day with a couple of personal trainers from work in the back seat....one of them is a large muscley guy......he was surprised that
a. It was easy to get into the back of the 2 door
b. his head didn't hit the roof once he was in
c. there was plently of leg and shoulder room for him and another large adult in the back seat.

an additional comment.........
went to eee a friend last night, they just bought an old Ambulance......could almost fit the Yaris in the back.......we did have discussions about whether Night Rider stunts could be done with the ambulance and the Yaris.......anyway......
He hopped out of the ambulance and into the front of the Yaris and freaked out that there was lots of space.

Go the Tardis....small on the outside, big on the inside

Just got some great comments. Peeps couldn't belive how cheap, and economical the car is.
And they had no clue what a Yaris was.
The commercials I've seen are only Liftback based, until the end when it splits an you see the Sedan.

was out with the s2000 community this weekend. A few test drove the car and was impressed. they loved how the car looked with 35% tint, and, they even suggested what color rims would look nice. BTW they all loved how the car scooted around. I guess most people, if not all, think the yaris is some electric car that can not reach passed 30 miles an hour.

sup all, mannnn... this post is a trip for me, every friggin time i fill up wierd people (lots of indians and people) ask me how much, miles, etc. Similar to other post, chicks always say it's cute, like every day.

Sometimes when people stare at my car i would turn the alarm on them and they still stare (kinda creepy) oh well. abit to much unwanted attention, but i love my car.
