I beg to differ. Bridgestone makes the Potenza RE-01R (among others) which is an awesome tire.

No economy car comes from the factory with a "high end" tire. And nobody makes a truly great tire in a standard "economy car" size. To stick with the OE size, you have to pick from the mediocrity that is available. (some are better than others)
