It's a grill block. Warms my engine up faster by preventing cold air from coming it, and keeps it hot during the cold spells which = better mpg.

How cold does it really get in CA?
I'm in NY and I've never seen anyone do that before. Some here with old cars will stuff cardboard in front of the rad though....

Yeah, it's not "cold" in comparison to anywhere in the northeast, but when you're used to having temperatures from 90F to 115F, 40 to 60 seems pretty damn cold.

40-60 I'd be out in a t-shirt and shorts. Come live out east for a year then go back.

Better than -20 to -40... in Illinois.

Doesn't even need to be a year. I went to New Mexico for a week where it was like 17 degrees and then came back to CA and it was in the high 50's and I was walking around in a t-shirt and flip flops.

But you cant say it never gets cold here. I was just in knee deep snow here in socal yesterday.
