The cover seems to be for noise suppression (and hiding the wiring mess) more than anything else. My engine seemed louder after I took it off; but after a few days I got used to it and didn't even notice it anymore.

+1 on more valve noise ...

never mind then, i alraedy think the yaris is loud already......i can now imagine if i removed it
