Yeah I hope we can get something like that set up in the future, but it is quite restrictive to legit new members...

Oh and the porn was also a bunch of links to some other sites, so it was really spam with a layer of porn on top

I understand, I actually mod on a couple of forums, one of which I set up nearly ten years ago. When new members sign up, it will explain why there are intial limitations on their accounts and the reasons for it. Most undertand and it has helped stopped a few that were trying to join for the wrong reasons. I know it is a little inconvenient; but since it is for the overall good of the forum, it is worth it.

I don't understand the logic behind spammers and hackers. The Internet is a wonderful thing, as shown by all the great information that can be found on this forum. Collectively, it makes us all smarter; but there are always a few who want to bring the entire group down to their level...
