I figured I would get the rear bar first, and if I get the urge to make the front match I'll pick the front bar up ( even though it might not work like the rear)

Exactly, the simple fact that it would help resist movement between the strut mounts would be enough of a benefit for me. It might not exactly help the car HANDLE better, but theoretically it will help STIFFEN the strut mounts ( oh yeah it looks good too). A front sway bar, from my understanding will promote understeer (which is pretty bad already since we're FWD)
