Yeah, and I'm short (5'7) with short arms. But I've always had a short shifter installed on all my other cars, so I'm used to it.

After I installed my NST SSK1, my shifts feel a lot nicer but I really hate the stock rubber shift knob and ugly rubber shift boot... I installed a cheap $14 shift knob that looks a lot better and sits shorter then the stock one. It's also weighs less and feels better... I assume it will wear out and look nasty pretty soon but what do you expect for 14 bucks? Please ignore the dirt, winter weather has kept me from cleaning the car for a long time (and I practically live in it...) I think I might be able to clean it up later today... (high of 56°F predicted woohoo!, but storms expected Wed. )

i guess you dont really have to weld..you can always re-thread after cutting..im sure there is tools for that the only down side is its works best for round or circle shifter..using stock.. it has to allign after screwing it in tight and i hate shifter being loose and moving while shifting..

nst ssk + shorter shaft shifter = fun to drive!
