really? I never knew a 6.5" can outperform a 6x9". When i was reading the first few posts on this thread i was wondering why would one replace a 6x9 with a 6 or 6.5. the bigger the dome the more power and bass you get right?

The much sought-after 07 Sedan "standard" radio bezel part number

The toyta part number for the 07 Sedan "standard" radio bezel (in case you want to swap our the #$%^& integrated radio with aftermarket) is 55405-52640. List price is $75 US.

I had to drive to the parts counter to find this out. Now that you have the part number, maybe you can order one on-line and/or find it cheaper...

Scosche" bracket

I have changed my front and rear speakers and I did not need a "bracket or spacer"

FYI to owners of the new '09 LBs in the US. Dash kits for the '07 and '08 LBs should be compatible with the '09 LBs. The harness adapters that worked with the '07s and '08s should work as well.

I have an '08 LB and I put 6x9's in the back. I ended up making my own spacers out of wood. They are in the car nice and tight and I have no vibrations or any noise coming from them.

Note to all, start with the template above, or throw it out and use a drill and some beer. It all comes out well in the end.

6.5" speakers fit fine in the rear of the 3-door LB.

I went with Pioneer TS-G1642R in the front and rear of my `08 Hatch.

They were cheap, ( $38 a pair from BestBuy ), and work well with the low power output of the factory head unit.

I just gutted out the crappy factory speakers, and installed the new Pioneers inside the gutted plastic housing. I had to use a Dremel tool on the front ones to get a nice flush fit, but the back ones fit perfectly.

Not exactly.

The lip/flange of the new speakers did not sit flush on the factory gutted plastic speaker ring.

Different speakers might have a slightly different flange, but these Pioneers did not fit perfectly.
I used a Dremel tool and ground off a little of the edge of the factory plastic ring. Took about 10 mins. After that, the new speaker fit flush all the way around.

Sorry, but I did not take a photo of the process.

Cool thanks alien mantis. I got 6.5's Alpine Splits in the front. Was thinking of putting 6.5s in the rear. Will fit the speakers in when i get the chance to.

Hi mates, I just bought a pair of SAT6 and I found it totally not fit into my 6.5" speaker. I have measured the SAT6 spacer's diameter, it was only 5"+, <6" in diameter... OMG

Can any one please show the photos of SAT6 with 6.5" speaker which has attached to your car?

Thanks and cheers..
