I did read the reviews on several sites about the Comfort Inn. No, they were not all flattering, but most were. You can not make everyone happy and things can happen anywhere.

I have said I am willing to consider other options, but I am not paying valet parking (I assume also plus tax and they expect a tip as well) in addition to a premium price for a hotel room.

It may mean I'm not right down town, but that is OK with me if necesssary. I can take a cab if I decide to go somewhere I don't want to drive.

I will try to research some more options this afternoon as well and I will wait and see what ya'll suggest.

Comfort Inn / Demonbreun

The Comfort Inn on Demobreun is not a bad place. It's just around the corner from where I work. Next to "Music Row", your downtown, safe,... It's always full. Lot's of "touron's" stay there. It's clean and a little cheaper. If I remember rooms are $129.99 plus tax. It's extremely centrally located. They have parking at the hotel and it's 1 block from the interstate. Of all your suggestions, so far this is the best.

Thanks Randy, that is the one I suggested yesterday. You even get a discount on the third night. See Below:

The least expensive seems to be the Comfort Inn. I checked rates for 3 nights - Fri, Sat and Sun figuring we would arrive Friday afternoon and check out Monday morning. Rates are reduced for Sun night. So with 2 people to a room rate is $129.99 + $129.99 + $79.99 = $339.97 (I am sure that is plus tax and fees, etc.) With 4 people to a room rate is $139.99 + $139.99 + $89.99 = $369.97 (also I am sure plus tax and fees, etc.). Those prices are from their website.

Edit - **Looks like tax is 15.25% plus $2.50 per room per day occupancy tax.**

You can also add a roll away bed to some rooms for $10.00 more per night.

Found this online coupon for Comfort Inn that saves 10% as long as you make your reservation through the hotel instead of online or through the 800#. http://maps.google.com/coupons/page?...=1&gl=us&hl=en

OK just made my reservation at the Comfort Inn for July 24-27. (See pricing info above) I picked 2 queen beds just in case one of my girls wants to tag along. They also have rooms with king beds. Each room has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer and iron & ironing board. Sounds great to me. They are just off I-40 and I-65.

She said she would try to put us all close together if possible. Her name is Paula and the number is 615-255-9977. Just give her my name, Cindy Lee, and she will try to put us all as close together as possible.

Mike is going to register the "Yarisworld" car club with his friends at the Import Alliance. This way we'll be able to all park and "show" our rides together as one car club. Last time he checked they were not taken reservations yet.

Last year when I attended this event there was not a parking fee, just an admittance fee to the event. I don't know if we will have to pay a fee as a registered group showing our vehicles. Mike will have that information when it is available.

Your choice with the Comfort Inn on Demonbreun will work out great for all of you'uns attending.

Later...
