Ok, I've got to go test my latest car camera mount. Matt, do you use any rubber spacers to limit the vibrations?

i used rubber washers under the camera, that's it. it was held firmly in place by the headrests. i think i want to build a custom bracket and enclosure for a bumper/grill mounted camera sometime.

Good luck with that....

Maybe velcro could help with that stabilization...

I find that the unoccupied seatback bounces like crazy. That's why my first camera mount on the passenger seat was terrible when I zoomed.

really? i can see how it would be unstable if only using a cantilever-style mount, but when mine was fixed on both ends, the vibrations were minimal. of course, when you use zoom, it will magnify any movements.

That passenger seat back really DOES move around a LOT if nobody is sitting there.

I have about 14 videos right ow and I can't load them to Photobucket. It doesn't accept VOD type movies and that's what they are I started my external video mount today using vacuum suction cups I had in the garage. I had them from a moving gig a few years ago

I've had better luck uploading videos to YouTube but it takes forever for them to process them after the upload.
