Don't get me wrong, I sincerely think this is an interesting project. I want to see what happens with this.

If rattling was the only problem that vehicles had, we could simply attempt to decouple all the car's suspect pieces. Unfortunately one of the main points of deadening is to reduce road noise. Just because a panel doesn't rattle doesn't mean that the car is quieter over all...the noise is still able to get into the cabin.

If you don't lower the noise floor...your vehicle's system is still working just as hard get get to a certain loudness.
