Thanks for the response. I added a quick video and pics to my first post. The video is really quick, but gives you an idea of what it sounded like. It was really loud over only 1.5k rpms :(. It was more like a farting noise like yarissedan mentioned. It was soooo much louder than the stock header. Not sure if you can get a good idea from that video.

So it's impossible to get a DC?

Yeah, this is a short video of only my TRD axel back for comparison

Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIG0OPV0Oog
Direct Link http://www.inimi.org/downloads/trdexhaust.avi

BTW in the header video the high rev at start up was because of the 1zz tb. I disconnected the battery while I was installing the headers so the ECU had to re-recognize the 1zz tb. The middle of the clip is when I put the car in drive, then park again, and then off (thank god ).

Plug one end, fill it with water from the other end, spot where its leaking water, get it welded shut?

Oh and did you prise the bung off the stock header because you didn't mention doing that? Its a conical ring around the exit of the header, you need to bring that over to the new header.

Good luck!

Normally, when we change header, sensor will read different CO2 from new header. It could make the ECU calculate different O2 and CO2 for a while.
Means ECU malfunction, take your car for a one day drive then it should back to normal then depends on how good the header is. If your header was not leak.

probably poor workmanship on the header? to my knowledge, the welds
could be a LOT better.

I have the same header on mine, and it is loud as hell. I noticed gains in power and in how fast my RPM's go up. Less resistance on the engine means it isn't working as hard to do the same stuff. Any header will make your car louder. The farting noise does sound like an issue though.

Did you transfer the exhaust pipe gasket off the original header onto the header that you bought?

It looks like this:

OH FCK ME. I knew I forgot something. Is it easy to take the stock one off or should I just buy a new collector gasket/donut?
