At least tell the whole story In fact, he stripped that threaded insert twice, even after we sent a replacement pipe that I personally inspected first for flaws. If you're installing the aFe intake, don't be too aggressive with the MAF flange screws; they don't need to be tight, just enough to seal the sensor to the flange.

on my explanation on the Afe intake...

I tried to be as careful as I can, but even at the tightest point, the foam gasket in between the sensor and the intake is still loose.... I can easily move it with my finger.

Mine used to get water inside the black metal shield.
After driving in hard rain or washing the car.

I Don't , but then again my AFE set up is not stock . sealed the bonnet and head light , oh and did i mention that Microimage sell's it
