First time I've seen the Yaris rated over the Honda Fit.

I've always thought "Initial Quality" to be an oxymoron. Everything seems to be good initially, otherwise you wouldn't buy it.

Well this is a quality rating, not an overall rating which the Fit generally wins.
I always point out that the Fit costs thousands more so it better be higher rated.

But yeah, initial quality ratings are a bit of a joke since most new cars (even the worst) will have very few if any problems in the time frame they rate.

Come talk to me at 300,000 miles.

Great cars in many regards but too finicky for my taste (thanks to BMW). I've had two over the past six years...very glad to have a Yaris now, which in some ways is more of a Mini than a MINI!!! Ironic, isn't it? Yes, you can tell the MINI owners I said so.

yep. anyone can make a car that isnt having major issues after only 90 days (which is what this survey measures).

I own a 2007 Yaris, and a 2009 Fit. In every way, the Fit is a better car. Period.

Yeah, but is'nt the 2009 Fit a redesign? I went to see the '08 Fit when I bought my '08 Yaris. The Fit was lacking in looks and looked kinda dinky and frail. The Yaris has much bigger "muscles".

Re-elect a leftist socialist who's socializing the country, I don"t think so. The guy hasn't spent any time in Washington to do anything, still compaigning. He thinks talking about an issue will cure it, to busy flying around at OUR expense and yaking instead of working.
