My wife's Scion xB has super dark tint all the way around, (30%, but the back windows are tinted from the factory) and no tickets.


I get my Yaris tinted with the same tint, same company, and I get pulled over by the Florida Highway Patrol.


Now the funny part. I bought the car in Feb, and I had not picked up my registration yet (4 months). He gave me a ticket for the registration and let me go for the tint.
I sent a copy of the registration in and my $10 and I am all set.
I think that the FHP was looking for someone not wearing the seatbelt (new law), and could not see me through the windows.

I even told the cop that it's Florida and super hot (it was 97 degrees out that day) and with the black car I needed the tint. He said he understood and gave me a warning for the tint.
