Does the rear antisway bar show?

Is the antisway bar considered a performance mod? Am I in the right place?

Anyway, does it show? I bought the 19mm one and it's white. Now I could install the sucker and step back and take a look but it's easier to hope you guys will take pity on a guy that's kind to old people, children and dogs and save him the trouble.

Btw, I see why Garm has such a good rep around these parts. He's a pleasure to do business with imo.

Edit: What I mean is do I need to paint the antisway bar black before I install it so it doesn't look goofy?

Mine is red and yes I can see it but I'm on stock suspension too. I don't think it looks goofy.

I think only the ends show. The bar itself is tucked up under the axle pretty well. The bar "faces" front so it's not like it's directly under the bumper. and, I suppose you could spray any "offending" white bits that you could see from behind after you installed it, as well.

Thanks for the kind words too.

Ahhh. It faces front. It's a non issue then. Thanks.

Only the ends are really obvious. It doesn't look bad at all.

Why would you want to hide a mod as great as the sway bar?

I got an UR bar from Garm and yes, you can see it when your a few feet away, eye balling it at the proper level, like from a car behind you, etc.

However, it does not look bad at all and it blends in well with the rear suspension. It's definately not "goofy" looking or anything like that.
I'm shure that the vast majority of people who see it do not not even realize what its or give it a second thought.

Mine doesnt show too bad, If you get the Ultra Racing one, it should turn a shade of a dingy white/gray if you dont get the chance to clean the undercarriage much...

When driving behind my car, you can definitely see the whole thing. My lower tie brace, however, shows even more.
If your car is lowered or stock height, it'll look good no matter what. IMO, you don't need to go through the hassle of painting or powdercoating the part. Who cares if it shows, especially considering the kind of handling capability it provides?
Cheeeers!

My car is lowered and has a rear lip -- I'm guessing that hides it more. Glad we got more than one opinion.

Im lowered roughly 1.4-1.6 all around maybe more give or take~~ but i can ONLY see the two ends that bolt onto the lower shock bolt and the upper hole. You wont see the middle part of the bar, as Garm has said on here~~~ its tucked pretty good underneath..

If you crouch down you will see the bar then but minimally still.....

I'm not sure spray paint will stick that well to a powder coated bar, especially with all the wear and tear the undercarriage sees.

Ok, for someone who doesn't know much about that many car parts (general maintenance, yes), what does the rear anti-sway bar do, and how is it installed?

(I'm sure there's another thread on this, so if someone could point in the direction of that thread, if they have it handy, that would be cool!)
