With that wide of a wheel won't a 205 look stretched? I have worked in a few tire shops and I like the look of a tire that is flush to the wheel. I still think I'm going to try the 225 unless you don't think it is worth the extra work. These are also not for looks and driving around they will be for auto-xing and track days too.

more power to you if you buy the 225's

but they're gonna rub :)

you'll need a lot of rear camber and some work with a hammer to make them work. but DAMN it will look great.

you'll be better off getting a wide 205 then a skinny 225.

remember not all tire sizes are the same.

the # on the side of the tire is the section width, tread width is what gives the "stretched" look (more so than section width).

meaning, a 205 with a wide tread width will look alot wider and have significantly less "stretch" then a 205 with a narrower tread width.

honestly i'd slap some 205s on there first for fitment testing (find some used take offs (miatas like 205/50s)).

this will give you a good idea if the 225s will work.

when going this wide you'll need to experiment, bit of risk involved.

look for extreme performance or R-COmps for the widest treadwidth. :)
