spending more on 17's is not an upgrade. they'll take away from what the car was made for, nimble, light, great brakes, etc.
a nice 205 55 15 is gonna give you just as much grip (and less hair-raising driving in puddles) as a 225. look into the Hankook RS3 if available in that size
