I've been thinking of getting a small 2W Solar Panel for my car. Would there be any benefits at all if I left it continuously plugged in through my cig lighter jack? And a 2W can't possibly overcharge my battery can it?

not relevant to this thread, but to answer you, plugging it in all the time when your car is not turned on will do nothing. the outlet is switched to only be powered when accessory circuit is activated.
