The Yaris motor is made in Japan, of paper mache, white glue, and rubber bands. So be careful about reving the engine, and never get the motor wet, as it will kind of melt.

I drive my car somewhat aggressively (not with other drivers, just when I'm night driving on empty streets) when I feel like it, accelerating pretty heavily off from a full stop up to a reasonable speed. I don't know that affects the engine lifespan, as I don't know how much "stress" it can handle. (By stress I mean heavy acceleration).

Won't hurt it to accelerate briskly.

Can anyone name a toyota motor that isnt ..
Sorry I had to... Anybody remember how many v6's in the four runners were recalled, and some 4 cylinders... all blowing head gaskets..... Not to mention almost every 1995-2001? tacoma was recalled....I'm sure there are others but off hand I can't recall. Toyota is like any major manufacturer and has their issues the difference is that they actually take care of the customers in the end... even recalls on millions of trucks barely put a dent in their sales... people stuck by them because of their buyback program was outstanding.....and the customer came first.... Thats why I bought my first toyota this Yaris I have now....

no carmaker is perfect, but the number of toyota's with over 200,000 miles on them is just insane.
