Let me explain to you how democracy works: people vote other people to represent them in some kind of legislative body. Those people then make laws, because we put them there and paid them to do just that...

I fully agree that there are silly laws and there are good laws, but I guess they are not the same in everyone's view... What can I say, life is not always easy in a civilized society
