I wonder if I could take that pic into a reputable exhaust shop and have them fab something up for my car.

^^ i think the easiest way would be to get a cheap dme Xa header off ebay for like 100 cut it in half and add 2' of pipe in-between the runners and collector . You'd also have to have a section of pipe w/ or w/o resonators or cat to connect to the axle back .
