This might be a stretch for you, but anything by Kurt Vonnegut is worth reading. Specifically, "Slaughterhouse 5".
If you're into sci-fi then the Dune series is great. It's by Frank Herbert. His son took up where he left off and totally ruined it, though. |

I am currently reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I've been laughing my ass off for days. The writer takes Jane Austin's original story and adds zombies.
Other good reads Wolf's Hour Robert McCammon Neverwhere - Neil Gaimen Good Omens - Neil Gaimen I AM LEGEND - Richard Metheson (not the story from the recent movie.. Much better)
