Actually it's a very nice business park, only problem being the meth lab theme park 2 streets away.

I use to live in Miami, FL. There is nice place just north of S. Miami on the bay called, "Coconut Grove" or simply the "Grove". The area turns from nice to bad... hard-ass slums within blocks! The dichotomy was so apparent. ...Again, what is this telling you?

Well, didn't get the shotgun. Only one he had that I actually liked was the loaded one under the counter. Found something I liked better...shoots .410 shotgun shells or 45s. I bought a box a .410 no. 4 pistol shot.

![]() Don't care for the maker, though. In the 90's bought a Taurus compact 9mm... had many problems with the throat... double feeding problems. Sent it to Taurus to fix. They fixed it, but then I had throat catch problems. Got frustrated so I traded it in for a Sig-sauer P225 Compact 9mm. The best compact I have owned to date... IMHO. I'm sure the Taurus was only a manufactured problem... a lemon. Most guns receivers are stamped instead of forged and milled. In that case, it is very hard to make precise accuracy in moving parts. You should be fine since your Taurus is a revolver... ![]() Let us know how it shoots...

My favorite gun I've owned was an old Montgomery Ward .410 double barrel shotgun, don't know why I sold it.
![]() Guess I'll have to find a place to try it out, don't know if they allow .410s at pistol ranges...maybe if I put in .410 sluggers, or the 45s I guess, but I wanted to keep it loaded with .410 rest of the time. |

You can be in a nice area, walk a block or two, and suddenly find yourself in complete ghetto territory. Downtown Detroit has nicer areas with the casinos, restaurants, sports venues, etc., but walk a few blocks the wrong way and holy sh!t, you will wish you were heavily armed.

Have not been to Detroit for years. My uncle lives in Bloomfield Hills, just south of the old Pontiac Silvedome. He always said, stay out of downtown! They must of fixed up the downtown area recently? Displacing the residents further into poverty!

I am from the Hamilton area. Canada is much cleaner and way more safe in general. It's really funny to me now, because when I'm back in Canada sometimes I hear people mention a "bad part of town" in Hamilton or Toronto, and I try not to laugh too hard. Yes there are some gritty areas in Canada, but you're WAY less likely to get KILLED there than in the US. A quick Google shows: Detroit Murders in 2006 = 418 (47.3 per 100,000) (National Average 7 per 100,000) All of Canada Murders in 2004 = 622 (1.9 per 100,00) ... Obviously those stats are not for the same year, but it gives you a small indicator of the difference.
