Both the 1NZFE & 2NZFE have the same bore, 75mm, the difference is the stroke, 1NZFE 84.7mm, 2NZFE 73.5mm. The rod length &/or compression height should also be different.

so meaning to say that both engines has different engine block? so the rod of the 1nzfe would not fit the 2nzfe?

Somebody needs to look in a Toyota parts catalog to see what's different. They might share common rods and have pistons with different compression heights. Cams might be the same or not. Note that the 1NZ-FXE engine in Priuses is basically the same as the 1NZ-FE with an even higher mechanical compression ratio around 13:1, also.

the cylinder block, the header and crankshahft are the same, the only parts that you should for stroke are change the pistons and rods.
I have a kit of oem pistons and rods from 1nzfe with only 15000 miles contact me in pm if you are interested ;)

Also different cams, to give it the Atkinson cycle.

This website has piston heads and rods for 1NZ-FE engines that might be suitable.
Can someone please tell me if these are suitable cause I'm thinking about doing it to my own yaris.

Those are low comp forced induction pistons. They are suitable, and come in both standard bore and oversized (netting 1.6L)...a couple people here helped to develop those.

Want to know cause i'm considering a blitz compressor but they don't work on 1.3's
Cheers
as far as i know, the only difference in the 1nzfe and the 2nzfe is the stroke (hence the different engine size)

so if you were to put those in your 2nzfe, it wouldnt change it from 1.3 to 1.5L, it'd just take you from the oem compression ratio of 10.5:1 to 9:1 (as the compression ratios in the 1nz and 2nz are the same (10.5:1)

what i think you need to go to 1.5L from 1.3L is 1nzfe rods and pistons, cams and ecu

however, assuming that everything external of the rods/pistons/cams are the same from the 2nzfe to the 1nzfe, i don't see why you couldnt put a blitz supercharger meant for a 1nzfe for a yaris on a 2nzfe model

I don't either. Does he provide any reasons for his conclusion?

Maybe it is just oversight or assumed or I am missing something here, but all the above posts fail to mention you will need the crank from the 1NZFE... Although, why not just put the 2NZFE head on the 1NZFE? Or, if you have a 1NZFE to take the crank out of, why not just pop a 1NZFE in place of the 2NZFE?

the only diffence between the engines is the stroke of the pistons, thus chances are that only the pistons, connecting rods, cams, and ecu would need to be changed to make your 2nzfe a 1nzfe.

but like many things, until someone does it, its speculation.

lol, it'd be an interesting experiment for someone in north america to buy a used 1nzfe, pull it apart and swap cams/rods/pistons/ecu for someone in the uk or australia areas with a 2nzfe

1nzfe's go pretty cheaply around here since they're in some of the cheapest cars you can buy...

you can be UKDM rollin in your 1.3L yaris in SOCAL, bishes!

EDIT: wait, doesnt the new north american scion iQ have a 2nzfe in it?

...And the stroke is determined by the crank not the pistons or rods.

A longer stroke means you probably need longer rods but longer rods and a stroker crank means you need pistons with higher pin location in the piston so that the piston doesn't bang the cylinder head.
