tinted window

Igot an estimate for a tint on my car for 150$ for the 2 back windows and the rear windshield. I asked for the price for different tint and he said same price...

Sooooo my question is, how much is too much?!

I drive 1200kms a weeks on the highway no A/C in the sun but I don't want too dark either

any recommendations? or pics of examples?

THANKS

I did a lighter tint on the front windows, then darker (but not limo dark) on the rear windows and hatch window. Works for me

I have limo tint on the back 3 windows, and nothing on the front driver/passenger and windshield. I paid about $180 after taxes. I thought it was pretty good. I had $200 budgeted for it, so I it seemed like a decent deal to me.

I have the same setup on my 3dr HB and I love it! I also got the AS1 line (at the top of the windshield) done a little darker, makes it easier to see w/o sunglasses when evening hits.

Paid about $110-120, don't remember specifically. Downside: I've had to take it back 2x so far to have the tint re-done. BOTH times, they melted the trim piece that's on the backside of the window, closest to the rear of the car. Can't say I had a great experience with the company I went with, and in hindsight would have paid the close to $200 charge that a company (Eclipse) had quoted to have a better job, even though there was a 3-4 week wait time.

The best advice I can give you is this:

1.) Talk to people and check out their tint if they've had the work done where you're planning to go.

2.) Make sure they have some sort of "clean" room to do the work. My tint is full of dust bubbles because I took it to more of a shop than a tint place.

Good luck! And don't forgot to double check state laws. I haven't had any issues yet, but you never know...

I got mine done for 150.00 all for windows including those little window. Anything you want to darker or Lighter

Mine is 20% rear and 35% front due to that stupid law in New Hampshire.

I went with the "executive" look and got 35% all around. Just the right amount for me, not too dark not too light... really subtle and looks classy/clean IMHO.

In Ontario I think the guideline 35% max for the front but you can go as dark in the rear as you want. I personally like tints the same all around.

I myself went with 5% tint all around and 20% (maybe 25? can't remember) on the windshield.
Works wonders for me under the Panamanian sun, didn't have any major issues adjusting to it at night either.

I have a sedan and have 35% on the Front and 5% on the Back. It does get kinda tough in the night to see ouit the back window...but you get used to it. I paid about 180.
Lifetime warranty so they say.

i went with 35% all around too. i like it, but the back glass needs to be darker, maybe because it's not upright like the hatch...

i did 20% rear, and 50% front for my hatch...

120 is a good price for just the rears

im thinking about the same setup on our aveo (but likely also the fronts) since we don't have a/c in it, either.

i had 15% in my matrix xrs and in retrospect it was SUPER dark. i convinced my parents to do 35% in their 03 malibu and 06 sierra reg cab and its perfect, imo

pretty sure ill be getting 35% tint for the aveo this year.
