I'm thinking about it. (I couldn't get it tomorrow. I'd have to get financed first. Get the check. Go to DMV for registration. Drive down there, or pay for transport. It wouldn't be a quick.)

Thanks for the comments guys. I've found a lower priced Yaris as a result. Which is hopefully leverage to get some extras from my dealer. I've learned I can modify an automatic with a Blitz compressor, and there's nothing wrong with driving an automatic. I'll check back for more comments later.

I'm not in a rush to sell, but I wouldn't turn down $9k. I've only got $12k(ish) in it, I've enjoyed it for a year and a half, the balance is getting close to $5k (woohoo!) and I'm feeling like I have too many cars right now.

There was a time in my life that I thought I would never own an automatic. Now I don't think that I will ever drive a stick again.

A.$12,500 is about right for a new base model. A new base model is only slighty more expensive, with no miles on it, the car you are talking about will be used and without warranty in just 10,000 miles

You should check with your insurance company - not necessarily your agent - because when I bought mine they had informed me that new car purchases are automatically covered under my existing policy for a period of 15 days. So when I purchased it, I was covered without the insurance co. having any details on the car. I thought that was pretty cool.

Having last Friday bought a 2007 automatic Yaris sedan, I agree with Yaris Hilton that modding is for the young (and the young at heart). I bought my Yaris for the mileage and for the hope that with 18k miles, it'll last me for ten years, a decade of not having to think about my car beyond normal maintenance. That's peace of mind at a great price ($8900).

I'm a straight 250K a day commuter - often I'm fighting fatigue / boredom / nausea - so I went for an Automatic - less thinking - and yeah less gas mileage - but less worry. (Bought my car on June 5, 10 - and so far I am happy to not have to worry about gear shifting.)
