Car Seats for Twins in Rear Seat of Toyota Yaris Hatchback - Toyota Yaris Forums

I can vouch for that. We had our car seat installed in the rear centre seat, and both seats needed to be moved forward quite a bit. I'm about 5'11" tall and it was ok for me, not incredibly comfortable though.

Later we moved it to the passenger side so the driver's seat could be moved, which obviously won't work for you!

It'll be fine if you can live with reduced leg room for a little while. We got a reversible car seat at about 6 months, still rear facing, which gave us more room in the front seat. At about 11 months we turned it around so it's forward facing, NO space issues here.

With 2 car seats don't expect to use your middle seat belt at all though. We've had 2 passengers in the back with the car seat but it is VERY snug. I can't imagine even a child would fit back there with 2 car seats.
