Pre-Purchase check....

So.. ripping around on the suspension.
Now ready to pickup some rims.
Going with the RPF1's

With the Tokico reds/progress springs, do you figure I will have any rubbing?

I was thinking of either 195/55/15's or 205/50/15's

I think Garm had suggested these sizes.. But I am probably wrong!!

Will be ordering today, but want to make sure I go with the correct tire sizes!

205/55/15 would closely match the OEM tire diameter.
195/55/15 and 205/50/15 will be shorter, which may work for you, or may not.

Ordered on the weekend. TireRack contacted me to confirm that I had selected the tire size I want. They were great to chat with. Hopefully have the rims with Direzza's installed ready to go by the 18th or so(has to cross the border so, not as fast as you guys might be used too!) Now.. to find center caps!!

Brian from good-win-racing.com hooked me up with a set of Helium Center Caps for my Enkei RPF1 15s. I will be putting them on soon.
First I need to figure out what I want to replace the "KÖNIG" sticker with.

This is what they look like:

They are just cheap plastic and not metal but they look like a good match to me. If you are interested, here is link I used to purchase them:

IGGY.....does it appear that the Koenig decal can be easily removed? I'm thinking about the same thing but want to run without anything there. Have you put those on yet? Pics?

Iggy: thanks man, I will order a set and work on making a plate that matches what the 17" 's enkei would look like ;)

Klink10: The "KÖNIG" decals are included but not attached (as pictured in the bottom half of the first picture.
You can simply discard them if you do not want to use them.

I haven't put these on yet because I am trying to source a Toyota logo to use in place of the KÖNIG decal.

If I can not find anything suitable I will go with plain silver in the center.
In that case, I might just sand down the KÖNIG raised lettering on each decal, paint them silver and attach.

So you can just peel the decal of "Konig" off the cap. Doesn't that leave a flat surface with no need to sand?

No, you can not peel the decal of "Konig" off.
I took a closer look and it is actually a round piece of metal with raised letters painted black on one side and adhesive tape on the other. The only thing you could peel off is the adhesive on the back.

If you don't use the decal, you are left with a centre cap which has a hole in the center so you need something to fill the hole in the cap.

No, Kyle from Tirerack called me Friday saying that they were hoping to be shipped out of Nevada(friday) So Maybe Wed this week.. I hope!!
Not sure if I am going to need a re-alignment with these being a fair bit wider than stock etc. There is a place here in town that has the Konig center caps, but he isn't sure they are the same as we are looking for. Will swing by Monday or Tuesday afterwork to see.. oh.. hehe.. thats tomorrow. Weekend was too freakin short!!
Also ordered a sprint booster. I got tired of the stupid slow return on the throttle when "off" the gas.. Grrrrrrr

My throttle response is pretty touchy, especially for a drive-by-wire system.

Mine is a manual, though I am not sure if you have auto or not.

I have the manual.. I can be driving along at say.. 50mph.. Push the clutch in.. or take it out of gear.. and it will sit at 3000rpm for 30 or more seconds before it will come down.. if I slow down before going into a corner, it feels like I am trail braking.. which in most cases I am not!
