Regardless of what you may hear, A/C use has a negligible effect on fuel efficiency. It might cost you 1 MPG/gal. Who cares.
And no A/C in Florida?  My A/C is on anytime it passes 70 degrees F. Seriously. I refuse to be uncomfortable at such little cost.
