In the vehicle set-up page there are some calibration options. Depending on what you're after you may be able to make it read metric by adjusting those cal. factors or...

punt... and buy a scangauge II or .. Wait until he releases a metric version. I should of put a caveat: I recommend it for anyone not needing metric
