TRD set-up goes for the 18" with 215/35-18 tires.
But I'd go for 17s with 205/40-17 because, there is a HUGE jump of price difference between the 17's and 18's.
The benefit of "effective function" can not justify spending that difference in dollars.
Here's a pic of my 17" set.

Part of it is because there is more rubber in contact with the road. The other part is that there is more rotating mass (metal is denser than rubber) with 18s so more horsepower is used to spin the wheels into motion.

That is the most funniest thing I've ever heard. Sure. maybe you might not wheel spin, whilst at the same time give hell to the clutch but once the 14" and 15" equipped cars get traction.. which is very easy to do by modulating the power, it's bye bye.

And we haven't even talked about the handling.

All show, no go, too slow.

Big rims on a econocar is retarded. Way to make your car ridiculously slower. That makes a tremendous negative impact on low torque, light cars. And it's downright comical how you talk about "racing" other vehicles. What? a John Deere? or a radio flyer? That's about your car's range.

Mine isn't slower than other yaris(they all are slow) And torque? u sure don't know where I live and the car works just fine in hills and in every aspect. And "racing" yes I can race cars in my range. You can race everything , don't u guys in the US race lawnmowers (some john deeres)? and wood cars downhill? (now thats funny) Is the same crap but slower... racing is racing.

by the way if there is a place where its stated that "big rims" are just for non- economic cars please let me know.

Yeah, we race soap box cars... I race them in my car, and when they beat me down the hill I call a rematch and race them to the top. Then I stare down in all my glory. I never lose the race to the top.

And hey, the tractor races are hilarious. Don't knock it until you've watched it wasted.
