^+1, particularly on answer C. Over the past 20 years I have only worked for two companies (the second for the past 18 years). On occasion I have interviewed elsewhere, although I have never been serious about leaving. With these dozen or so interviews, I have always been offered the job. The key for me has been to go into the interviews demonstrating complete confidence and turning the interview around where I make the interviewer try to sell me on his/her company and on why I should want to come work for them. Internal interviews and progressions are quite different though. Seldom with an internal interview process is the decision not already made before the process begins. With an internal promotion, your resume is your past performance, accomplishments, attitude, and conduct. |
