You would need at least 3 to 5mm to really notice a difference. It would be nice if there is something special for the plastic panels. I've been looking around but nothing, not even Spectrum Sludge from
Secondskin would hold to plastic, I did ask them!
It was / is on my to do list, but when I learned that MLV is more effective to block road noise I did that first.
bedliner spray it's very good to prevent rust as well! I used it many times for my Tacoma!
