07' Instrument Panel in 11'?

I want to put a 2007 instrument panel into my 2011 as I like the look of it better. My question is, can I do it myself? Will the Milage I have override whatever the last milage was and will the gas gauge and everything else sinc up and work or will I need reporgramming of the old cluster by the dealer before installing? Does anyone know if all the connections are the same? Can I just plug and play with the old cluster in my new Yaris? I really like the look over the orange cluster I have.

Mileage stays with the cluster. The dealer can't even reprogram it, but some third party companies can (but you would have to ship it to one).

Gas gauge, etc. will be fine, as they work off live sensors.

The big issue for you will be the lack of ABS, TRAC, and VSC indicators for your 2011, since the 07 cluster won't have them.

And, yes the connectors/pinout are the same. I have an 08 cluster that I swap back and forth on my 09, as I am doing my YarGauge development and testing.

Do you have any info for those third part companies ? I was lucky enough to find a "s" model cluster with the tach and i would like to get the mileage changed if possible.

Why is that a big issue? The 07 do have ABS lights? Dont know what the VSC is or why the TRAC light would be an issue? But maybe should keep orginial cluster?

ABS wasn't all that common prior to 09, so finding a cluster with it might be tough. Traction control and vehicle stability control were new in 2010, so no clusters prior will have the indicators for those.

Another option is to change the LEDs. There is a good thread on here with a DIY on changing them.
