I agree. The 6' 6" 250 lb boy doesn't really fit in the back very well either.

300lb per woman?

I don`t know how things go in the US but in Europe we are allowed to put 320-380kg (700 ~ 840 lb) into the Yaris (depends on Model and Options).

So i guess your car was just heavily overloaded.
