Hey all, I just wanted to thank everyone on this forum. I just did my install of the 4-Button CC. It works perfectly after a little troubleshooting. The only problem is that I just have the wire chillin' in the ECU. I have no idea how long it will stay there, but it stayed in on my 60 mile round trip to/from work. I do not wish to buy the real wire from Toyota, but I will if I must. But I was wondering something: I have a spare wiring harness adapter laying around with the pins kinda like the ones that go in the ECU (I assume), and I was wondering if I can seat those in the ECU for a permanent solution.

Hi,
i have try to install this cruise control mod... But no cruise function... All switch are okay, i have buy the cc switch, i have connected the switch to the white and the blue wire ( around the purple wire ). my switch set-up are the same of the tutorial (4 switch with 240, 390 and 910 resistor ) I have buy 2 D3 wire and a A21 connector. the a21 connector goes to my red wire on my sitch and to the pin1 of the d3 connector. my black wire goes to pin2 of d3 connector and to the negative. I start the car, i push on the "on" switch... at 100Km/h i push on the "set" and nothing happen... what's wrong?!?

There is no purple wire near the CCS wire in pin 40 of connector A21. Looking at the connector from the wire entry side, there is a blue wire with silver marks next to it on the left and a brown wire next to it in the next row. Why did you add pins to D3? You only need to do so if using the OEM stalk, not for using the DIY switch method.

i have a MT.
this is the reason why i have connect my cc clutch switch on the white and the blue wires (the purple are in the meedle (in the fuse panel under the hood in the conductor side). why i have connect 2x D3 connector, confusion between 2 diy..... i go to disconnect the 2x D3 connector, and go to test! the voltage was okay on my 4 cc switch (12v. when ignition are on). the 2x D3 connector was my error, it was possible to theses connector cause the malfunction? **sorry i'm very bad in english** |

OK. That makes more sense. Being connected to D3 shouldn't cause issues, except that if you are relying on that for the ground of the second wire, it will just be floating, since the other end of the connector is not connected. On you switch array, one side goes to A21-40 and the other to ground.

i have disconnected the 2 D3 wire.
I have make a road test and it was unsuccessful ![]() it's the second day i try to make it come true. this morning i have buy 4 new switch, re-install, re-soldering etc... i have try with my ccclutch switch and with a jumper... i have 12v when i put my ignition on, and 0 when it off. and my "on" button was 1 red wire go to A21 pin 40, and the other to the kick panel (ground). when i press "set" "resume" or "cancel" the voltage is flickering between 12 and 0v for 1 sec. approx. i don't know what is the problem at this time... |

That looks fine. And, the negative wire goes to a good chassis ground?

OK. So if you measure between the positive and negative wires, you see 12V with the ignition on, and if you hold the ON/OFF button, it stays at 0V?
Also, the clutch switch is adjusted so that it is fully pressed when the clutch is up?

OK. And just to verify:
The top switch is on/off 0 You press that once. The switch on the right (which becomes the left when installed) is the set button. You get to 25MPH or higher and press that one (having already pressed the top one above).

exactly!
when i start my car i press the "on" button, when i go faster than 45Km/h i try to press "set" button. i have try to just press, and keep my finger pressing this button about 3-5sec. no result! the clutch control switch has polarity? the red wire on my ccswitch goes to the blue or the white wire in the fuse box in the driver side of the hood? or nothing important? |

the switchs seem to be okay, no pulse when i push button.
i fugure that the problem are my cc clutch switch... if my cc clutch switch are not okay, the cc are not functionnal. i have try with the jumper in the fusebox, and unfortunately i have the same result... i really don't know what is my cc problem, but i want to resolve that soon! |
