Sony Xnv-770bt Installed and now my door locks won't work
Here's one one for you.
I bought a new Sony Xnv-770bt from Amazon and had it installed by a professional stereo place here in Indy. They did a good job...it all worked and I thought everything was perfect...until...I went to lock the car with my key fob. The remote entry does a double beep and won't lock. I tried to lock the door with my key and again...nothing. The car simply won't lock. So what does the peanut gallery have to say about this problem? Any ideas as to what has happened?

If your keyless entry is OEM, check the 30A POWER fusible link on the face of the under dash fuse panel (behind the change cup). It sounds like the receiver is alive (with the beeps), but the drive circuit is not.

Ok, just checked and the fuse is OK. The electrical system seems to be working normal. When I click the key fob to lock the door it beeps once and a second or two later, it beeps again.
The drivers side door lock is jammed into the unlock position. You can move it. The drivers side lock moves a slight bit, but also in the unlock position. Is it possible that when they replaced the speaker, the blocked some mechanism or lever that needs to have travel space?

I know the Yaris with P/L won't allow the car to be locked if the key is in the ignition. Could it be possible that somehow the car thinks the key is still there due to tapping into the wrong wire??

Either of those could be it. With the speaker replacement the cable for the lock may be pinched. You can pop the door skin off to check (there is a good thread on here that shows how to pop it).
With the key sense one, did you by any chance also get a remote starter installed?

Well, just got back from the store that put it in and they told me that it was an alignment problem. The locks are working correctly so the problem is resolved.
Fantastic radio. Maybe too much money for the whole process of buying and installing, but I plan on keeping this car for a long time so maybe its cost effective when you think in the long term. Thanks for the help!
