Wheel Locks.

Whats the best locks to get, for security reasons. I had wheels stolen before, and I didn't like it at all.
Planing to put locks on every lug.

put wheel locks on your wheels, next time they steal the whole car... wheel locks are a bad investment, and cause many problems at the tire/lube shop when you need your tires rotated or need a flat repair... something simple to do for sucurity is to use a tuner lug, you do have to use a key, but most shops can get one same day, instead of using a Gorilla or McGaurd Brand where you would have to wait 3-6 weeks to get a new key in the mail, that is if you kept your key code, if you lost the key code, most shops charge anywhere from $35-$75 to remove locks, and that does not gaurentee they will not damage your wheel, stud or hub

so as I stated before wheel locks bad, tuner lugs are ok, best are regular old lug nuts (BTW I have Tuner lugs but I have 3 keys 1.withspare 2.ingarage 3.in house just incase one gets lost for some reason)

Yes your right, if they really want the wheels they going to have to steal the car.
Guess what? They are going to have to take it to the next step.
Not just removing lugs and installing blocks underneath your car.

Its like buying with cash and showing it around. Would you do that?
Your inviting them to come and steal it from you.
If your wheels are locked, your going to force them to ask them self, how bad do i want those wheels.
I bet anything, that a thief steals more wheels then do they with cars.

About losing the key? If your a type of person that loses things, then you got more problems then unlocking your wheel.

Kyokugen are hard to beat. I've got a $2000 set of wheels on my Civic (forged Becketts), and they are the only locks I would use. The McGard (from my experience- they are the factory Toyota/Lexus locks) are cheap and crack/strip easily. Gorilla- well, lets just say I don't trust $20 wheel locks.

Here in Atlanta, wheel theft is HUGE. You have to have locking lugs if you have anything that resembles a nice wheel. A nice Viper/detachable steering wheel/remove the fuel pump fuse when parking/Mobile Guardian setup takes care of the rest of the car.

well 95% of people that have wheel locks do not know they have them or do not know where the key is. Well that is from my experience from working at a tire shop for a lil over 7 years... but what the hell would I know about tires

you are in fucking Cumming.... Theft ain't that bad.... go live on the westside then you will see some theft.... I lived in Jonesborro, Marrow, and College Park for a minute and never got my shit fuck with... my boy were over all the time with 20's 22's 24's... imports, mini trucks, what ever.... nothin.... and up there in Cumming, is richy bitch hoods, bet you wear dockers and izods

Gorilla's. because they have a sleave, so you can not hammer anything over them... you have to carefully air hammer the sleave off then try and hammer a lock removal tool ontol them.... the absoluly worst to take off.... usually takes an hour or so when you get good at it

Mix and Match.

Get one set of tuner lugs (ie. 20 pc), and one set of locks (ie. 4 pc).

Tuner lugs add another level of security on your wheels, but anybody else with the same lugs can use their key on your lugs to get them off.

That's why I suggest you fasten 1 lock on each wheel to prevent this from happening.

You don't need to have 16 wheel locks (one for each lug on each wheel for our Yaris), because it's expensive and impractical - you'd need to carry 4 different lock keys with you. If you are really inclined to do so, then there's absolutely nothing wrong with this option.

If you are a real wheel/tire connoisseur, then you might look into the more expensive tuner lug and lock combination sets (RAYs, Mcgard splinedrive, etc).

Cost is about $63 shipped for 4 sets of locks. Thats unbelievable price for them.
My decision on what to get, is going to be how hard is it going to be for someone to remove it. From what other said here, and from what I am seeing, these bastards are going to be a pain to remove.

The outside of the lock spins around, they going to have to remove it first before even trying to get to it. My opinion is, they going to have to destroy it and even damage the rims to just to steal it.

I rather have my car burn to the ground then to have those losers take anything from me.

Your assumption that I stay in Cumming 24/7, 365 is pretty dumb, to be blunt.

My round trip everyday is 100 miles, so if you are such an expert on the "bad" neighborhoods of Atlanta, you would know that 50 miles south lands me in- gasp! Morrow! Even worse, Gwinnett is only 20 miles away! I actually grew up in Jonesboro, so keep your "I'm so hard" attitude at home.
