How to make Yaris hatch ride quieter?

raise car

scrub everything

apply thick rubber truck bedliner to every non-moving and non-heated surface,
including inside wheel wells

remove interior including door panels and headliner

apply dynamat to every possible surface while still being
able to refasten the interior

apply bedliner to surfaces which are too narrow for dynamat

put car back together


install quiet tires like michelin harmony
--
done. it will ride very quiet

take care of it quick, after a few days they leave a nasty stain!

also, if one was to go through that much effort, to even out the weight one could simply remove the rear seats, rear cover, and spare. that's around 140 pounds right there, lol.

seats absorb noise. need them to stay if quiet is the goal
