Thinking about buying some Motegi MR7 rims

I've got an 07 hb with stock 14" rims and tires. I can get a decent set of 15" Motegi MR7 rims for an ok price (less than $300). I don't want to spend any more right now as this is just for looks and summer usage as I want to put snow tires on my steel rims. From what I have researched it looks like the rim specs are:
15 x 6.5, ET35
16.5 lbs per rim

I plan to run 195/55-15 tires. My main question is what kind of hit do you think I would take on mpg? I'm guessing this should be fine but any comments or concerns are appreciated.

They weigh about the same as your steelies, I think gas mileage will be around the same.

QFT they're heavy like steelies. Between that and the outdated styling

I dunno about outdated, but those look nearly exactly like Civic HFP Si rims. Look decent, but probably wouldn't be my first choice on a Yaris.

Styling isn't really outdated, just overdone. There's so many different brands of that same rim style I couldn't even name half. But for $300 for a new set of wheels, it's a good deal.

And my current wheels weigh 28.3 lbs. each, hows THAT for heavy?

Don't worry about taking a big hit on your MPG. I'm running some pretty heavy Mini Cooper 16'' rims with the heavy run flat OEM tires and still get 37-39 MPG.

But, at $300 is a little pricey for used MR7s unless they come with tires.
For less than $100 more you can get some new Konig feathers and be much happier!

Ryan, glad you got those Niche wheels back! Love em! Best looking ones on your car. I only seen one other set on E-Bay and they were chrome.

I bought them and ended up paying $260. The tires are pretty much done, two are into the wear bars and the other two are almost there. The one is missing the emblem from the center cap. Probably should have waited but they are mine now. Since I was trying to keep it low budget I don't feel like I got really ripped off. I'll get some new tires by the time I put them on in the spring. They are gunmetal and I think they will look ok on my blue car.

Let's see some pictures when you get squared away!

I have a set of those MR7s on my 2003 Mazda MPV van.

I think you are the closest Yarisworld member to me by the way!
