suspension issues

working on raising my yaris back up and i'm on the front springs get the strut out and everything replace the spring, put the strut back up and start putting it back together. long story short, the rod that connects the strut to the arm or axle, is coming up 4" to long to line up so i can finish putting it together any advice is appreciated.

This would be your sway bar link and connects the sway bar to the strut assembly. This will happen unless you have both driver/passenger front wheels off the ground and fully relaxed. Lmk if this helps.
