Dynaliner - 1/8",1/4" or 1/2"?

Hey all.

Im currently in the process of applying Dynamat Extreme to my car and will be following up with dynaliner throughout.

The thicker, the better obviously, but of course there are spots on the car where 1/2" and even 1/4" are going to be too thick for clearance once panels/upholstery is put back into place. I need to get an idea of how much I need to buy of each thickness...

To those who know or have done this - Can you make any recommendations as to maximum thicknesses/allowance for either or all of the below, or put forward any problem areas you encountered?

a) Doors - I'm guessing 1/2" on the outer panel, 1/8" for the inner (speaker) panel?
b) Roof - 1/4" throughout?
c) Trunk - 1/4"?
d) Floor - 1/4"?

Many thanks in advance!

As one who is using Dynaliner, Ensolite, and Overkill in my vehicle...

I enjoy the performance of the Stinger Overkill hands down over either of the others.

Interesting, sq.
I don't know if I can source Stinger stuff easily, but what thickness did you use, and can Overkill go straight over the top of dynamat extreme?

It actually bonds better than the dynaliner...

And yes, it'll go over the dynamat extreme just fine.

You have multiple thicknesses available.

I haven't been on to the site in a while.
