Myself I just usually put my extra hand in my lap, or on my leg, or the door side arm rest...but not the passenger door arm rest, LOL !

WHAT! are we talking about hte "pasenger door" arm rest (ie. other side of the car) or simply the bracing oneself with their arm on the passegner "seat" itself ...

i that we were talking about leaning into the seat... our elbows bracing against that

i def cant see how using the passenger door arm rest... god, thats far.
