Around here the good old boys claim they would rather push a Chevy then drive a Ford.

The Yaris is pretty much off their radar, imagine the local redneck watering hole In Inkom with a line of flatbed trucks and pickups with cow dogs in the back. ALL 4x4 of course (and we do need it here) and then my little white HB. Yeah I get looks but I get the last laugh at the gas pump, plus I can always out macho them anytime I want with either my crane truck (too big to fit the parking spaces though) or my 280K miles '98 Dodge Ram Diesel 1 ton flatbed if I'm feeling insecure.

OP had a lemon, all manufacturers have lemons, disappointing to see how many people here are acting immature.. if i had a lemon sedan i wouldnt buy another toyota either, im also a ford guy as well, they do make the best pickups, they INVENTED pickups.. and that pickup is more practical to him then a hatchback...

Yeah. Some of us might be acting immature. Although that's going to happen when the OP comes in here and acts equally immature by going out of his way to absolutely trash the car that the entire website is based upon. Especially if 99% of his problems were likely from using a product in a fashion it is not normally designed for.

He should not expect and will not receive any sympathy if that is his approach.

A Yaris tugging around 800 lbs of boat it's entire life is going to go through wear items (and nearly everything he listed was wear items) quicker than a Yaris driven normally by normal people. It is a small economy subcompact. Not a towing vessel.
