well, if you wash your car by driving it into a swimming pool with the engine running, then you'll have a problem
![]() As Dragonacc said, a little water getting in the intake should not be a problem, the filter should be able to stop most of it, then the rest would evaporate with the heat. The hydrolocking problem occurs when your intake sucks up water instead of air. Imagine you have a straw in your mouth and you are sucking air. when you put the straw a little bit into the water, but you are still able to suck air, the water will not go up much. But once you submerge the hole completely, then water will rise up. Same thing with an engine, if you get liquid water into your cylinders, then you're in deep deep trouble.
