yeah, most of the cars I have owned had this safety feature. I got used to it and now I dont even think about it.
A ghetto way to get rid of it is to jimmy rig the clutch position sensor to stay open all the time by bypassing the sensor and running the circut hot all the time so it thinks the clutch is down all the way all the time. However, I would not reccomend this because of safety reasons and because I dont know that the wire was intended to stay hot 24/7, so if anyone asks, I never mentioned the idea.
